The lovely town also has its own festival weekend called Scotch Plains Day. Here, the town gets together for a family movie night, community-based, philanthropic walks, and live music. Ponderosa Farm Park, a local favorite, boasts shade trees, a playground, a sprinkler area for kids, open green spaces, and restrooms. If you would like a trail that flows through a wooded forest, consider visiting the Ash Brook Reservation
